The graph above shows a decline in the shortage of each type of nursing home staff due to the decrease in the cases of Covid-19 towards 2022.
The above figure shows:
An increase in the shortage of nurses with the rise of coronavirus in 2019, which led to more hospitalizations and deaths resulting in a demand for hospital workers.
In the year 2021, the shortage was at its peak because of companies shutting down, ban on transportation, individuals working remotely ensuing unavailability of nurses.
With the fall of the virus and the pandemic getting under control in 2022, there was a slump in the shortage.

Looking at the Graph above, we see that Ohio had the highest shortage of Aides staff when compared to clinical, nursing and others, whereas Washington DC had the lowest shortage of Clinical staff when compared with aides, nursing and others.
