The K-1 visa in Thailand is a temporary, non-immigrant visa that is issued to the fiancé or fiancée of a US resident. This visa makes it possible for an engaged couple, or a foreigner and US citizen, to enter the US and legally get married.
The American fiancé starts the K1 application process by petitioning their Thai fiancée filing a form I-129 to the USCIS. Once a visa petition has been filed, the USCIS forwards it to the National Visa Center of the State Department and pass it through the Embassy or Consulate in Bangkok.
K3 spouse visa is a multiple-entry, non-immigrant visa with a validity period of two years. The adjustment of status can also be applied upon arrival in the country. Furthermore, a K3 visa allows the visa holders to take their child or children with them in the US by applying for a K4 visa.
Adjustment of status (AOS) is a procedure when a non US citizen wants to become a permanent resident of the United States. The procedure in application for adjustment of status is quite different from the method of applying for permanent residence from abroad.
All Thai citizens who may want to visit the US for pleasure, tourism or for health reasons must obtain a US tourist visa in Thailand or a B2 visa. It is a non-immigrant visa and usually allows the holder to stay in the US for the maximum six (6) months or one hundred eighty (180) days period.
