AUDITION LOGISTICS

To be considered for a role you must complete the Online Audition Form and you must participate in both the Dance Performance Audition and the Vocal Performance Audition.

Please bring a current headshot or photo and updated one page resume with you to the Dance Performance Audition. Both the headshot/photo and resume will not be returned. The resume needs to be only one (1) page. Cut the resume to match your 8x10 headshot and staple the headshot and resume back to back at the top and bottom.

Dance Performance Auditions

Come prepared to learn a musical theatre dance audition in the style of the show. You may be asked to stay to learn an additional combination. Dress appropriately for a dance audition.

Vocal Performance Auditions

Prepare, memorize, and perform the appropriate cuts from the Vocal Selections for the character/songs for which you are auditioning. We will most likely only hear you sing one or two cuts at the initial audition. Do not expect to sing for every role in the show. Audition order is determined by filling out the Online Audition Form.

Call Backs

If you are asked to participate in Call Backs, you will perform cold readings from the script. Be familiar with the script. You will learn a new dance combination. You may also be asked to sing again or sing another selection. Please come dressed comfortably, but still appropriately for an audition.

REHEARSAL

After casting, each cast member will receive the script and score. Each cast member is responsible for learning lines, lyrics, and parts by Monday, September 17, 2018.

Our first cast meeting/rehearsal is the Company Retreat - Saturday, August 25, 2018, 10:00 - 5:00. If you are cast you may not miss the Company Retreat.

Rehearsals begin Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at 4:00.

Rehearsals are after school Tuesday - Thursday, some Fridays and Saturdays. A detailed Rehearsal Schedule will be provided at the Company Retreat. Dates and times are subject to change and every actor may not be needed for every rehearsal, but should clear your calendar of all conflicts.
