I am interested in joining the UR iGEM team because it provides a scientific platform that encourages creativity and unconventional ideas. This gives a good contrast to more traditional scientific education that emphasizes rigor and precision . I think the iGEM competition is a good way to expand your ability to think of science, especially Synthetic Biology, with more freedom and risk.
