Are you interested in how mindfulness meditation can be used to reduce the impacts of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on pain, suffering and wellbeing?
Mindfulness meditation is known to reduce depression, anxiety, stress, pain and suffering, and to increase coping and wellbeing, but the mechanisms responsible for these health benefits are largely unknown. Further, it is unknown how significant global events such as the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic influence these health outcomes and how mindfulness can be best used to help.
This study has been designed to answer some of these important questions.
This study is completely online and can be completed in under one hour from anywhere in the world.
If you agree to participate, you will be asked to answer some survey questions before and after a 20-minute mindfulness meditation audio training session.
We are currently recruiting participants.
This study is expected to be available from October 2020 until March 2021.
You must be 18 years or older to participate in this study.
You can be from anywhere in the world but you must be able to read and understand English.
You can participate in this study regardless of your meditation experience....beginners and experts are welcome!
You do not have to be experiencing pain to participate in this study, however individuals with recurrent and chronic pain are especially encouraged to participate.
The meditation training in this study will be relaxing and may have benefits for your health and wellbeing.
If you wish to do so, you can provide your email address and go into the draw to win one of five (5) AUD$50 gift cards, that will be drawn monthly. Winners will be posted on this website each month.
