Manually Updating Display Driver
Identify your graphics card manufacturer and model. You can usually find this information in the device manager or by visiting the manufacturer's website.
Visit the manufacturer's website (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) and navigate to the support or drivers section.
Locate the driver download page for your specific graphics card model and operating system.
Download the latest driver version compatible with your system.
Once the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file to initiate the installation process.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install the new display driver.
Restart your computer after the installation is complete to apply the changes.
Automatically Updating Display Driver
Windows: Right-click on the Start menu and select "Device Manager." On macOS, click the Apple menu, go to "About This Mac", and click "System Report". On Linux, you can use the "lspci" command in the terminal.
In the Device Manager (Windows) or System Report (macOS), locate the "Display Adapters" category and expand it.
Right-click on your graphics card and select "Update driver" or "Update driver software".
Windows: Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software". macOS: Check if any updates are available in the "Software Update" section.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the driver update process.
Restart your computer if prompted or after the update is finished to apply the changes.
Impotant Note: Automatic driver updates may not always provide the latest version available from the manufacturer, as they rely on the operating system's update mechanism. If you need the most up-to-date driver, manual installation is generally the best option.
