Welcome to UCCC
"To be with Christ, and to be sent out." (Mark 3:14)
The University of Calgary Catholic Community (UCCC) provides a presence within University settings to enable students, faculty, and staff, along with the support of the community at large, to share and foster an active commitment to their faith by:
- encouraging students towards active participation, thereby training them for leadership, not only in their church but also in society;
- being of service spiritually and personally to those who are in need;
- regularly gathering to celebrate sacraments, mass, and other traditions, founded on the basis of love for all of humanity
How can I get involved in the UCCC?
The UCCC exists because everyone works together to make things happen. We have an official sign-up for committees and ministries in September, but you can join in at any time. There are also many opportunities to volunteer throughout the year:
- UCCC Student Council
- Music Ministry
- Men's/Women's Nights
- Liturgical Ministry
- Social Justice Committee
- RCIA Team
- or just about any other area where you are gifted!
Our chaplain, Fr. Joseph Ha Vinh Tran, OP (Fr. Haven), celebrates the Sacraments with us and helps us to understand and live our faith. We also gather regularly throughout the week for prayer, service, and fellowship events. Join us in growing deeper in community and in your Catholic faith!
For confession or spiritual guidance, make an appointment or walk in during office hours.
