The Ego TKL was born as a project to chase what I determine to be my endgame. From accessible compatibility, to design choices inspired by a plethora of factors, this WKL F12 TKL aimed to simply tick all my boxes. Paired with vintage MX Browns, CRP Desko Black, and my 18kt white gold + platinum Crookey artisan, I reached my endgame. 

Personal inspiration: The letter psi features quite heavily as an ode to my career (lecturing in psychology). The patterning / engraving is based on my home city of Venice and it’s Renaissance scrollwork/architecture. 

Philosophical inspiration: A play on words for Ego being a lavish spend of excess to obtain what I considered to be my peak. A bit on the nose with psychology as well. It is an introspection on not only the desire to impress oneself but to impress others – as egotistical as that may be. 

Keyboard inspiration: Elements taken from my favourite boards of all time so far. The front accent from the Bias and Garderie, the concentric circles of the Ex.23 dark alloy, the clean sides of the Shelby80, the chunky bezels of a Rama u80, and the smooth curves (underside) of the derivative!
