Purpose:
To demonstrate gyroscope stability and precession.

Description:
Pass the string through hole in the spindle then rotate the gyroscope to wrap the string. Pull the string to start the the gyroscope rotating quickly then balance it on the stand, your finger, or a taut string. As it slows down, it will begin to precess. You can also position one gyroscope on top of the other or use the string to demonstrate precession similar to the bicycle wheel gyroscope.

The air powered gyroscope has no string. Simply blow into one of the holes to start it spinning then place it on the stand.
