Purpose:
To compare the volume of a one liter water bottle and a cubic decimeter.
Description:
A one liter bottle looks a lot bigger than a cubic decimeter (10^-3 cubic meters). Their volumes are observed to be the same when a student pours the contents of the water bottle into the plastic container that held the cube.
