Heat Transfer Applications: Water Balloon & Matches

Purpose: 

Pop a balloon with a flame, then heat water in another balloon. A balloon filled with water will not pop like a similar balloon filled with air.

Description:
Place the water balloon on the ring stand so that it does not fall through. Light a match and bring it close to the side or bottom of the water balloon, observing that the balloon will not burst because the water conducts heat away from the spot the match is touching. You can compare this to a regular balloon filled with.
