Purpose:
To observe the opposing magnetic forces produced by the eddy currents set up within a metal plate that swings through a magnetic field.
Description:
Swing solid metallic pendulum paddles between poles of a magnet. Slots in otherwise identical paddles prevent the circulation of the eddy currents.
