Purpose:  

Description: 

A pinwheel connected to a Wimshurst machine (single wire connecting to one arm of Wimshurst) turns due to the like polarity of the points and their corona discharge. Works best with the pinwheel with 6 spokes. Should also work with sitting atop Van de Graaff rather than connected to the Wimshurst machine.
