UniTill ("UniTill", "we", "us", or "our") operates the UniTill mobile application (the "App"), a marketplace that lets users buy, sell, and rent items and communicate with one another. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are the data controller for the personal data processed through the App.

Information you provide:
Account information: first and last name, email address, student email address, phone number (optional), and password.
Profile information: profile photo (optional).
Listings you create: titles, descriptions, prices, categories, and photos of items you list.
Messages and content: messages and image attachments you send in in‑app chat, and ratings/reviews you submit about other users.
Information collected automatically:
Location data: with your permission, we collect your device's precise location while you use the App, to show nearby listings, attach a location to a listing, and display live order/delivery tracking on a map. Location is only accessed while the App is in use (never in the background).
Device information: a device identifier and device type, used to secure your account and enable sign‑in.
Push notification token: a Firebase Cloud Messaging token used to deliver notifications.
We do not collect payment card details in the App, and we do not use advertising or third‑party analytics SDKs.
We use your information to:
create and manage your account and verify your identity;
publish and manage your listings and process orders;
enable chat between buyers and sellers and deliver notifications;
show location‑based listings and order tracking;
keep the service safe, prevent fraud and abuse, and handle reports;
comply with our legal obligations.
With other users: your name, profile photo, listings, and ratings are visible to other users. Messages you send are shared with the user you are chatting with.
Service providers we use to run the App:
Google Firebase (Cloud Messaging) — to deliver push notifications.
Pusher — to power real‑time chat and live order tracking.
Google Maps Platform (Maps & Geocoding) — to display maps and convert coordinates into addresses.
Legal reasons: where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of UniTill and our users.
We do not sell your personal data.
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we are required to keep certain records to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
Depending on your location (including under UK/EU GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time:
In the App: Profile → Settings → Delete account.

All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Sensitive data on your device (such as authentication tokens) is stored using the platform's secure storage (Android EncryptedSharedPreferences / iOS Keychain).
The App is intended for users aged 16 and over and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
Some of our service providers (such as Google and Pusher) may process data on servers located outside your country. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "Effective date" above.

You can delete your UniTill account and your personal data at any time.
Option 1 — In the App
Open the UniTill app and sign in.
Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account.
Confirm. Your account and personal data will be permanently deleted.
Option 2 — By Email
Send a deletion request from your registered email address to Email: 【raiyansoft.com@gmail.com】
with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify your identity and process the request.
What is deleted: your profile, listings, messages, ratings, and associated personal data.
What may be retained: limited records we are legally required to keep (for example, to comply with tax, fraud‑prevention, or dispute‑resolution obligations), retained for no longer than required by law.
