Ares (PSO)

Description

The Second in line for the TS-14 series. This is Ares with links as the God of war, this is aptly the Peace Support Operations variant of the TS-14 Series of the Squirrel Industries MCV (Master Class Vehicle) project; where specialist vehicles are made from a common platform, in this case, known as the TS-14 platform.

Ares has a top speed of 83 MPH and 2 modes of travel:

• Quick Conventional Travel (QCT)
• Stealth Mode

With the two modes combining to give optimal performance at the cost of extra fuel.

QCT Mode revs the engine up close to max RPM and allows for operation of the headlights and taillights, while Stealth Mode reduces RPM/Horsepower, with the advantage of much quieter (albeit slower) performance with headlights/taillights turned off.

Ares is the most heavily armed variant. Based of the TS-10 proof of concept tank, Ares has a turret with 2 main large guns mounted on it, providing a total of 56 explosive rounds to knock out any opposing threat. For further defensive purposes, the turret houses countermeasures and has a Remote Defence Weapon (RDW) mounted on the top. The RDW consists of 2 machine guns and 3 cameras to cover wide angle, infrared and standard views. An another large gun can be found at the front of the tank, which utilises high velocity armour piercing rounds. Although, this gun is restricted in movement, due to the Tank Destroyer-esque gun mount. As well as this, the MCV has 2 Ground to Air Launchers installed, which utilise custom Squirrel Industries missiles to lock on and dispose of enemy threats.
