Effective Date: June 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy governs the mobile application Unit Converter 2026 (individually and collectively referred to as the "Application"), created and developed by Mudasir Hussain ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our") as a free, ad-supported service. This service is provided at no cost and is designed for use on the Android mobile platform.
This legal document is designed to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of information when utilizing our Application. By downloading, installing, or operating Unit Converter 2026, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree to the terms outlined herein, please do not use the Application.
We are deeply committed to user privacy. Our fundamental principle is to minimize data collection. Unit Converter 2026 is structurally engineered to function without requiring account registration, user profile generation, or the submission of personal identifiers.
No Personal Data Collected: The Application does not collect, record, log, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your legal name, physical address, phone number, email address, or specific identity details.
The Application utilizes an offline, localized SQLite database via the Android Room Persistence Library to store historical calculation logs, user preferences, and pinned or favorite conversion pairs. This architecture ensures that your configuration and usage metrics remain local. This data is stored strictly within the sandboxed directory allocated to the Application on your device. It is never transmitted off-device to our servers or any external party. Users maintain absolute autonomy over this data and can purge or delete their calculation history locally at any moment within the Application settings.
To deliver streamlined efficiency, the Application checks the user's system clipboard locally upon startup to determine if a valid numeric expression is present. If identified, the Application provides a contextual shortcut allowing you to instantly insert and convert that value. This operation occurs entirely client-side, on-device, and in volatile memory. The contents of your clipboard are never stored permanently, never logged, and never transmitted over the internet.
The Application provides up-to-date global exchange rates for fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies. To fulfill this functionality, the Application initiates periodic outbound requests over HTTPS to the Coinbase Public API. No user-specific data, unique conversion queries, or individual numerical values are transmitted to Coinbase during these exchanges. The Application exclusively downloads raw, generalized currency matrix tables to compute values on your local processor.
In the event of an internal system fault or crash, diagnostic technical metadata may be cataloged locally or processed via Google Play Services to generate trace telemetry. This information is non-identifying and includes parameters such as your device hardware model, operating system architecture, software configurations, and timestamp statistics.
Cookies are files containing minimal volumes of data, frequently applied as anonymous unique identifiers. The Application does not explicitly employ cookies or local session web storage. However, third-party frameworks integrated for advertisement delivery may utilize device identifiers or persistent tracking tokens to manage and evaluate ad impressions.
To sustain operational maintenance and fund development costs, the Application utilizes reliable third-party infrastructure and advertising networks. These third parties may receive or access contextual device configurations to perform specialized services on our behalf.
The Application integrates Google AdMob to display Banner, Interstitial, and Rewarded Video advertisements. Google AdMob operates independently and may automatically collect, process, and analyze diagnostic user telemetry to evaluate ad performance, combat fraud, and serve personalized marketing messages. The types of data collected by AdMob may include mobile advertising identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID / AAID), approximate geographic location (coarse network location), hardware specifications, platform attributes, and real-time interaction metrics with the displayed ads.
You can inspect and review the data practices implemented by these integrations via their official disclosures:
The security of your local data is highly valued. The local SQLite/Room database operates within the native Android security sandbox, preventing unauthorized cross-app access. While we employ standard platform defenses to safeguard local preferences and historical conversions, you acknowledge that no architecture or method of electronic transmission or mobile storage is perfectly infallible. We encourage users to maintain secure device-level access controls (such as biometrics or device passcodes) to preserve the integrity of localized application states.
This Application may feature hypertext links directing to third-party web portals or embedded ad URLs. Clicking a third-party link redirects you out of our jurisdiction to an external domain. We do not own, supervise, or control these external web assets, and we assume no liability for their operational practices, safety controls, or content frameworks. We strongly recommend reviewing the privacy statement of any external site you visit.
Compliance Notice: The Application does not address individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly compile, request, or retain personally identifiable data from children under 13 years of age.
If we discover that a child under the age of 13 has inadvertently provided any form of personal information, we will immediately delete such data from our operational buffers. If you are a parent or legal guardian and discover that your ward has transmitted personal records to us, please initiate contact immediately so we can execute necessary remedial actions.
We reserve the right to revise or update this Privacy Policy periodically to maintain compliance with evolving statutory obligations, technical modifications, or shifting Google Play Console compliance directives. Any changes become valid immediately upon publication within this space. You are advised to review this documentation periodically to remain informed of our privacy protections.
