Unifi Software

I am using option 43 and have tried the ip of the unifi controller. This worked fine on v19.5.2 but since updating to v19.5.3 it now doesnt work and the unifi controller is not seeing the door hubs being connected.

We've been using (even before I got there) Unifi routers, switches, and wifi access points at both of our local offices. It's been great for the most part, and I can manage the networks from home. VPN to each of the offices using JumpCloud's radius was really easy to set up and get working too. We have problems with the routers (UDM Pros) every once in a while, so I usually just restart the router remotely using unifi.ui.com which takes down the network for a few minutes. Has anyone else seen this? Do we just need to wipe the UDMPro and start fresh?

Usually the console becomes unreachable (unifi.ui.com and locally via internal ip address) so that office usually unplugs it and plugs it back in to restart it. Trying to get them to stop doing that, since that may be corrupting files. Usually that's the main problem since I'm remote.

I also have a unifi system setup with Wi-Fi and can use the unifi protect once I buy the needed hard drives for storage. Unifi has had supply chain issues in the past that seems to lately been getting better.

Hey, I just read ton of posts across reddit and forums for different tips at how to configure pihole with unifi properly. However there seems to be few different ways of achieving this and I am not sure which one is the best, or does it even matter, and if so, how? My main and most important goal is to see client's domain name, block ads and have the fastest DNS possible with my setup.

From what I can tell, the most logical way would be the 4. , since DNS requests are redirected to pihole for blocking, then to my router to do the actual DNS translation. Other ways seem to repeat themselves unnecessary creating loopbacks or slowdowns by duplicating the DNS job, if I understand this correctly. I am not entirely sure though, so I would love any feedback or tips regarding this, especially people with their unifi controllers. 2351a5e196
