Easi-Scope is a digital microscope that can easily be connected to an iPad. Here you turn "the egg" to focus. It is easy to take pictures so that you can discuss your findings later. It is marvelous to take it outdoor where young and old can explore both leaves and small insects. The microscope connects to the iPad via Wi-Fi (no internet required). See the instructional video below:
An inspection camera is a small camera that can be used to explore and take pictures of, for example, small insects and their life in places that are difficult to reach with other, larger cameras. The camera can, for example, be inserted into tree trunks, between rocks, or, if it is waterproof, into a stream to examine and document life that we normally can’t see
At TL, we have also utilized the camera in various Escape Room activities, where participants have had to use it to film inside a dark box to extract the information they need to solve tasks. Would you happen to have other ideas for how the inspection camera can be used? Come to Drop-In and we will try out your idea!
