Visions in Photography: Stories of Now is a national juried photography exhibition organized by The University of North Dakota’s Department of Art & Design and the Myers Foundations. All proceeds will benefit the UND Photography Club. All forms of photography are eligible, including digital, analog, alternative processes, and any mixed media where the main element is photography.
What stories do you want to share? American and the world has gone through a tremendous period of change that appears to be ever evolving. Show us your stories, visions, or nightmares on your mind about the current state of affairs. From the mundane bliss of everyday life to dreamscape realities, or to the circus show of contemporary politics, share your stories of now.
MEDIA: Open to any photographic medium, including but not limited to historical processes, traditional silver printing, chromogenic printing, and digital process. All photographs must be framed no larger than 28” x 30”.
ELIGIBILITY:
This juried exhibition is open to national artists of all levels (professional, emerging and students 18 years and over). There is no commission fee. Anyone interested in purchasing work from an accepted artist in the exhibition will be forwarded to the individual artists.
AWARDS:
First Place $500.00, Second Place $300.00, Third Place, $200.00. One artist will also receive a UND Art Collections Purchase Award. All awards will be judged from actual pieces. Award checks shall be mailed at the end of the exhibition.
ENTRY PROCEDURE: Please fill out this entry form, or send us a document to include, your contact information, title, sizes, media and prices of entries, with your images. Images must be formatted and presented according to the directions below:
Please format images to an RGB profile. The largest dimension (width or height) should be 1200 pixels on the longest side with the other dimension proportional. Your entry must be received in one complete email!! Do not send multiple emails or embed your images into your email!! Attach all files into one email only!!
All images must be saved at 72 ppi, 8 bit Label with last name and entry# (i.e. Smith01.jpg) Images and entry form must be e-mailed to undphoto@gmail.com

JUROR:
Cindy Steiler is a multidisciplinary artist and alternative process photographer based in Gainesville, FL. She employs photographic and textiles techniques to address themes of connection, longing, and home. She has exhibited and taught in the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East. FRAMING SPECIFICATIONS:
All photographs must be framed professionally with plexi-glass (no glass) or, appropriate presentation if photo mixed media, wire on the back and ready to hang. All work must be framed no larger than 28" x 30". No saw tooth hangers are allowed!!
DELIVERY & RETURN OF ARTWORK:
All Artists bare the sole responsibility for shipping to & from the gallery for exhibition purposes. Work should be sent in a reusable container, securely packaged, clearly labeled and sent with a return shipping label prepaid for either UPS or FEDEX. No Peanuts please!
