Betsey

Betsey could be Betsey Thompson who was documented at Oak Hill in 1836. Betsey Thompson was described as 40 years old and "too fat for any use". Betsey would have been born between 1780 and 1790. If Betsey is Betsey Thompson she was described in 1838 as 50 years old, but considering many of the ages of the enslaved people are different between the 1836 Oak Hill record and the 1838 Isaac Franklin transport list.  Betsey has not been positively identified in any record in Louisiana and research about her life is ongoing.
