Diablo Immortal is an upcoming massively action role playing hack and slash game in the Diablo series specifically designed for web-based multiplayer play on mobiles. The game is being developed by Blizzard and NetEase. It is not a traditional hack and slash game, nor is it a World of Warcraft like game where you grind for experience to get to the level cap. The focus of this game is to be an intense multiplayer action game where one can choose to be a warrior, mage, thief or priest and fight other players either in player vs player (PvE) format or in group format, which features a variety of characters from previous Diablo games. Diablo Immortal will offer a free alpha version with the full game being available at a later date.
I am very much looking forward to playing this new Diablo game as it's very different than the previous games in the franchise. Looking at the official site and its current beta version, I see that it will be very action packed with a good mixture of World of Warcraft style visuals and Diablo style action. My first impression was that this game will be very similar to the old school versions of Diablo, but still maintain the same feel and appeal. From what I have seen so far, I really can't say that this game has lived up to expectations. However, I will continue to play and watch as the beta version of the game gets fixed more.
There are still two more updates left to go, which means that the game will have many dynamic events and changes as well as new content. If you are interested in playing the early access version, you can find the link below. I am looking forward to playing through the game to see if it lives up to the hype. It will be interesting to see the final build of the game once it is launched on the mobile devices. The early access version does look pretty nice, but as of now the game is not giving me any real reason to play other than the fact that it is free to play.
