United Nations Association of South Africa
Stellenbosch University Chapter
Welcome to the United Nations Association of South Africa (UNASA), Stellenbosch University (SU) Chapter. We are a student-run organisation that seeks to exemplify and promote the spirit and objectives of the United Nations on our local university campus and in the wider community. As such, some of the activities that we have historically been involved in include Model United Nations (MUN), women’s empowerment, youth upliftment, community engagement and outreach, as well as creating awareness on issues like human rights, gender-based violence, and the climate crisis.
The organisation is run by an elected executive committee of twelve SU students and is made up of hundreds of members from the university student body and the wider Stellenbosch community. For our 2021/22 term, the executive committee is on a mission to massively expand the influence, activities, and membership of the organisation. Scroll down to meet the executive committee, for more information about our upcoming projects and events, and to learn how you can get involved.
