Biography
Andrea Munro has over ten years of experience as an educator, curriculum developer and trainer at both the K-12 and higher education level. Currently in her role as Director of Instructional Design at University of Massachusetts Global, she oversees the development of online and blended courses and the seamless integration of educational technologies. Additionally, she manages the university-wide technology training efforts to support instructors and students. Her passion and expertise in digital badging, gamification, virtual reality and collaborative learning technologies are featured in her publications and conference presentations including the Technology Badge Compass and Ten FREE Innovative Tools to Enhance Online Student Engagement presented at the Interactive Learning Technologies Conference (2014). Additionally, Director Munro has co-published and presented Preparing Technology Leaders of the Future and lead the 21st Century Leadership Round Table Discussion on What is Digital Badging at the Society for Information Technology & Teacher Education International Conference (2016).
