Hello and Welcome to my web page
Hello and Welcome to my web page
I am a postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven and Energyville in Genk Belgium. I am interested in the following broad areas of research:
- Electrical power systems, smart grids, renewable integration in context of control and optimization algorithm development,
- Making power grids more reliable,
- Operation of batteries for power grid applications.
I am eager to collaborate, perform freelancing and consulting on interesting problems in power systems.
A list of my publications can be found here. My resume can be found here.
Short Bio:
I completed my PhD at École Normale Supérieure and INRIA, Paris France in December 2019. During the Summer of 2018, I was an intern at Los Alamos National Laboratory conducting research on inverter active and reactive power control. Prior to this, I worked for Eaton Corporation as a Controls Engineer. I hold a US Patent. I completed my masters from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2012 in Energy Systems Engineering and my undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University, India in 2010. I was also a member of the Laboratory of Information, Networking and Communication Sciences, a joint lab between Inria, Institut Mines-Télécom, UPMC Sorbonne Universities, Nokia Bell Labs, and SystemX.
I joined EirGrid as Senior Engineer (Opertaion, Innovation and Planning) from Feb 2020.
Presently, I am in Belgium as a postdoctoral researcher in the team of Prof. Dirk Van Hertem.
Submitted our paper titled: Flexible and curtailable resource activation in a distribution network using nodal sensitivities at 4th International Conference on Smart Energy Systems and Technologies (SEST), Vaasa, Finland. This is a joint work with Arpan Koirala, Hakan Ergun, and Dirk Van Hertem.
Joined KU Leuven and Energyville as a postdoctoral researcher
Joined EirGrid as Senior Engineer in Power systems planning, operation and innovation team on 24th February 2020.
January 2020: Paper Arbitrage with Power Factor Correction using Energy Storage accepted in IEEE Transactions on Power Systems.. :))
12, December 2019: Presented our paper Cooptimizing energy storage for prosumers using convex relaxations in ISAP, New Delhi!
6 December 2019: Successfully defended my PhD titled as Optimization and Control of Storage in Smart Grids. Download my thesis here: https://tel.archives-ouvertes.fr/tel-02462786/
