It is with great regret that the Woy Woy Peninsula Branch NSW informs the Club of the sudden passing of David Arthur Thomsett, 63 our much loved member who died suddenly after a knee operation on 27th February 2013.
Dave or " Dave the Electrician " was a member and sponsor of our Branch since its inception in 2011. He was formerly a member of the Central Coast Riders Branch. Dave loved riding from an early age and later enjoyed riding his Kawasaki Vulcan 900 with us and with his girl Chrissy as pillion. Dave and Chrissy never missed a ride and was always first there and last to peel off to his home at Niagara Park. He was a quiet gentleman, and Chrissy’s "Mr.Wonderful”. Dave left behind his loving partner Chrissy and Dave’s daughter and 2 grandsons.
Dave’s funeral procession was led by fellow member Gavin and Chrissy on Dave’s bike and followed by over 40 members on their bikes. It was a long, slow and well organized procession to Palmdale, where a fine service with many attending, was held. Our President “Redback” spoke of the members love of Dave and how sadly he will be missed. The last song was very appropriate for Dave being “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life”.
Dave spoke often how he loved the Ulysses rides, but more importantly how he loved the members and how much Ulysses was a big part of his life. He will be sadly missed by all of us. Ride-on Dave....
