Ulysse Chabaud
INRIA researcher
I am Ulysse Chabaud, INRIA permanent researcher at École Normale Supérieure de Paris in the team QAT. I am also the coordinator of the EIC Pathfinder Challenge project Veriqub on efficient verification of quantum computing architectures with bosons, and an editor for Quantum, the open journal for quantum science.
Before that, I was a postdoctoral scholar at the Institute for Quantum Information and Matter in Caltech, and an IQIM postdoctoral fellow at the Institut de Recherche en Informatique Fondamentale in Paris. I obtained my PhD in Computer Science from Sorbonne Université in 2020, my thesis is entitled: "Continuous-variable quantum advantages and applications in quantum optics".
My research interests cover various topics related to quantum information theory, such as quantum computing, quantum cryptography and quantum communication. I investigate the necessary resources for quantum advantages and how they translate to foundational questions, in the context of continuous-variable quantum computational models in particular.
