Located on the BACK LEFT of the machine.
If the orange "END STUDY" button is present, click to exit out of the study left open by the prior operator.
Click to either manually enter patient information or pull up from the worklist.
If you have already placed an order in O2 for the study, you can pull up the patient information under "Worklist." If you go to Worklist, hit the ↩️ button on the top-right to refresh the list & pull up new orders.
Manual Patient Info Entry
If Worklist is not used, then manually enter patient information. If there is no MRN (like when you're scanning a co-resident), then enter that person's birthday.
Enter scanner(s) username(s) under "Performing," with multiple scanner usernames separated by a semicolon (no space required). Attending username can be left blank and entered in Qpath, but if known, can be entered under "Referring". For training studies, the attending is "TRAIN." Hit blue "SCAN" button when complete.
Probe & mode change menu is accessed by pressing the left side middle button on the bottom home screen.
Use the wheel to adjust overall gain. If you press the Time Gain Compensation (TGC) button, it will bring up a dial where you can adjust near & far field gain. Hit "Auto" to return to normal gain settings if you get lost.
Press "ABC" to pull up the labels menu. Can use pre-populated labels, or free text can be entered by pressing the ⌨️ keyboard button. Use the "Select" button and trackpad to select labels for deletion / movement.
Use the camera 📷 & video camera 📹 buttons to save still images and clips. After hitting freeze ❄️, you can use the trackpad to "go back in time" and either save still images with 📷, perform simple measurements with "CALIPER", or calculations with "CALCS" (e.g., crown rump length).
Color, Doppler, and M-Mode are accessed using the buttons on the bottom right. At any time, pressing "2D" will exit you out of specialized mode, freeze frame, dual-screen, etc.
Always press at the end of a study. If missed, next person to use machine may forget also, and their images will be lost in your persistently open study.
The ORANGE top (bleach) wipes are approved for all the PX probes, AND the PX machine itself. ANY color wipe is approved for the probes, but should be avoided when wiping down the machine itself.
