On your last Image Review day of your rotation (usually your last Monday), you will give a short 5-10 minute presentation over either an ultrasound-related journal article or an interesting case you participated in while on the rotation in the ED, with some studies / data / readings supporting the use of ultrasound in the case.
Also on this last Image Review day, you will need have written and present 5 multiple choice questions related to ultrasound.
These should both be in PowerPoint format.
Email your presentation and questions to Drs. Jackson & Sarani, and Alicia Redeemer White (awhite@kumc.edu), before the end of your rotation.
For the questions, attempt to show ultrasound images on at least half your questions.
Multiple choice format is preferred.
For your presentation, you may prepare a PowerPoint about either...
(1) a case you had while on the rotation where ultrasound was utilized, or...
(2) a journal article related to ultrasound.
If it is a case you had, include the key images / video clips from your Qpath study in your presentation. You can export export your images from Qpath into your PowerPoint. (click here for instructions on how to do so)
If you present an article relating to ultrasound, prepare a PowerPoint that discusses the article, and includes ultrasound images, either from the article, or from Qpath or the internet related to the article's topic. Also, print off copies of the article itself to be handed off to the audience, which is usually just 2-5 people.
