Ukulele Setups, Support, & More
If you bought your ukulele from a full service seller (either a physical place or online) that knows and specializes in ukuleles, you probably also got a setup as a part of the purchase price. This included making adjustments to your ukulele so that it both sounds the best it can be and is comfortable to play.
However, big box stores and large online stores are not equipped to, or are unwilling to, spend time and money to ensure ukuleles are properly set up before they are sent on to customers. They typically sell ukuleles straight from the shipping box they came in from the factory directly to you without even checking them. Frequently, these instruments need a setup because such things are usually not done at the factory where they are made.
After years of buying, playing, and enjoying ukuleles, I decided to learn how to do setups for myself. I realize that many ukulele players don't want to learn or need to learn how to do this and so I decided to start offering these services more as a public service to my local ukulele community than anything else.
