Travel Grants
What is an HPSC travel grant?
HPSC travel grants are monetary awards intended to provide financial assistance to health professions students for certain expenses that allow current students to represent UIC in a positive way at conferences, meetings, or by doing contributory work - including assisting in under-served areas or participating in away rotations.

Graduating students can apply for a travel grant up to the 4th Quarter of the year of graduation.

Apply during the appropriate application deadline.
Complete travel during the appropriate travel dates.
Provide proof of eligible expenses to the Office of the Dean of Students during the dates in the award letter.
DEADLINES
Travel grant applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until we hit the maximum amount of funding we have allocated for that quarter. Once the cap has been reached, additional applicants are put on a waitlist for funds that are not picked up during the dates in the award letter, or who retract their application for other reasons. Funding rolls over from one quarter to the next if it is not awarded.
You may ONLY submit applications during the quarter you are traveling. For example, if you are attending a conference on August 30, the earliest date at which you can submit your application is August 16.
You may apply before or after travel occurs, but only within the quarter it occurs. As of this Fall semester, we are only accepting in-state travel given changing COVID restrictions.
Deadlines are absolute. Please plan accordingly.
