Sisters Empowering S.I.S.T.A.S., Inc., is a program designed for girls grades 9-12. The goal of the program is to empower participants with life skills, education, and guidance that will prepare them to lead well-rounded, balanced lives centered on their personal beliefs, interests, and goals. Our Mission - To empower teenage girls to become strong, independent, and assertive women who will lead successful lives and who will be prepared to tackle any situation. Our Purpose - To enable every teenage girl we encounter with the necessary skills and confidence to be able to handle herself in any situation. Participants will leave the program with the drive and self-esteem to maximize their potential by successfully accomplishing their personal goals and serving as role models for their peers. Our Goal - To equip our participants with life skills, education, and guidance that will prepare them to lead well-rounded, balanced lives centered on their personal beliefs, interests, and goals. Through a series of programs focused on real-world experiences, we will help shape their dreams, mold their minds, and influence their character. 

Primary Function: 

We are looking for an engaging and fun person to facilitate our program sessions for our 180 Program. Sessions are typically Monday - Friday. Some sessions may be during the school day or after school, and typically last 1-1.5hr. Interns will (1) Engage and inspire youth grades 7-12 to learn and grow to be responsible adults, (2) prepare and facilitate pre-selected 180 Program Curriculum, (3) create educational activities that are fun and engaging, (4) ensure that the 180 Program is run as per the direction of the Executive Director and in compliance with school district protocols, (5) must monitor and evaluate situations quickly using good judgment to assess situations and make decisions, and (6) create and maintain a clean, safe environment for children and adults within the program space.
