Organization Description: 

Identify, solicit, collect, sort, and distribute medical supplies and services according to the imperative needs of the world.

Primary Function: 

In their role as Operations Assistant, the intern will report directly to the Director of Operations and support this non-profit in the day-to-day activities required to prepare cargo shipments of donated medical supplies. Interns will be trained in the use of our Flowtrac inventory system and will learn about medical equipment and the logistics of international cargo shipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Scheduling of interns and volunteer crews.

• Updating and working with inventory data.

• Warehouse activity.

• Supervision of volunteer teams.

• Assisting and facilitating cargo loads

• .Note that Saturday hours are likely to be required. 9 am - 3 pm.

• Interface with local donors of gift-in-kind product

Preferred qualifications: 

• This position requires strong organizational and communication skills.

• Candidates with concentrations in Supply Chain or Management would be particularly well suited.
