Girls Empowerment Network ignites the power in girls by teaching them the skills to thrive and believing in their ability to be unstoppable. At Girls Empowerment Network we believe that girls are powerful. Our mission is to help them believe it too. We work with girls in grades 3-12 throughout Texas. Our programs offer a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for girls, and at our core, we are focused on helping girls build and grow a strong and positive sense of self-efficacy.
The Program Management Intern will assist staff with the management of implementing our Radiant G program in our various service regions. This position is designed to contribute and increase capacity within the tracks of advancement and impact. The Advancement track typically has goals such as fee-for-service revenue and quality relationships with partners. The Impact track typically has goals such as evaluating programs providing girls with statistically significant gains in the Six Cs and grant-specific measures. The Program Management Intern can expect to gain introductory experience in grant management, curriculum development and management, and program outreach.
Develop and implement an outreach and engagement plan to increase the number of youths served and retained through self-efficacy building programs.
Assist Program Leadership with advancement strategies to increase fee-for-service partnerships with schools and organizations including outreach/recruitment of new partnerships and engaging current partners.
Support the creation of a new curriculum for program department stakeholders (youth, parents/guardians, faculty & staff on school campuses).
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to increase the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability of programs.
Additional responsibilities as assigned; all interns are welcome to cross-train to spend a portion of their weekly time in our direct service programs if desired.
Applicants must be professional, creative, team-oriented self-starters who have an eye for detail and a positive attitude.
Applicants must have obtained or are actively pursuing a degree in counseling, social work, nonprofit management, or related field.
Must be committed to the goals/mission of Girls Empowerment Network and social justice.
Must have reliable transportation.
