Founded in 1992 by Pastors Rudy and Juanita Rasmus, Bread of Life, Inc. began by serving hot meals to Houston's homeless, quickly expanding to offer a broad range of services and support. In partnership with Beyonce's BeyGOOD and Tina Knowles-Lawson, they've conducted anti-hunger initiatives and disaster relief efforts. Nearly three decades later, Bread of Life continues to aid underserved communities in Houston through programs in homelessness, health, hunger relief, and their community radio station KMAZ The Amazing 102.5 FM.
Amazing 102.5 FM, a staple of the Houston community radio scene, is seeking a creative and talented Graphic Designer to enhance our visual identity and communicate our mission through compelling designs. This role is perfect for a designer passionate about music, community engagement, and visual storytelling. As our Graphic Designer, you'll create a range of materials from digital content to promotional print assets, playing a key role in defining the visual aspect of our brand.
Design visually appealing and brand-consistent graphics for a variety of needs, including website visuals, social media content, banners, flyers, and promotional materials.
Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to conceptualize and execute design ideas that effectively convey our messages and engage our audience.
Ensure all designs are aligned with the station’s identity and mission, maintaining consistency across all platforms and materials.
Manage the entire design process from concept to delivery, ensuring timely completion of high-quality designs.
Provide creative input and suggestions to enhance visual communication of station promotions, events, and campaigns.
Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies, applying best practices to all design projects.
Proficiency in design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva).
Strong understanding of branding, layout, color theory, and typography in both print and digital contexts.
Excellent visual, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
A keen eye for aesthetics and detail, with the ability to take constructive feedback and adapt designs as needed.
Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory with a strong portfolio.
