As the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 5 through young adulthood in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
Primary Function:
The Development Intern will support all functions of the Agencies Development Department. This includes and is not limited to support of donor engagement, donor retention, signature events and other day to day responsibilities. The intern will help to position the agency as the preferred charity of choice for giving and volunteering across Greater Houston.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Administrative
Fulfill tasks set out by supervisors from several departments
Attend meetings needed
Perform research at a supervisor's request
Donor Engagement
Assist with responsibilities related to the stewardship of donors.
Support monthly giving and annual fundraisers throughout the year
Donor Retention -
Support the development and implementation of the Agency year-long stewardship program to improve donor retention (i.e. scheduled events)
