As the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 5 through young adulthood in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.

Primary Function:

The Community and Volunteer Outreach intern will collaborate with the Volunteer Recruitment Manager and Director to develop new community partnership opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The Community and Volunteer Outreach intern will collaborate with the Volunteer Recruitment Manager and Director to develop new community partnership opportunities

  • They will promote the mission of BBBS by actively participating in outreach efforts through professional communication via phone, email, events, and other platforms

  • The role will require the individual to engage with other non-profits, companies, and stakeholders and navigate available community resources

  • This internship will provide an opportunity to practice and expand skill sets in communication, networking, critical thinking, and problem-solving

Preferred qualifications:

  • Education: Marketing, Communication, Business or Human Services

  • Presentation and Research Skills

  • Customer Service and People Oriented
