If you want a rugged, vehicle-friendly cable with superior strain relief for long drives or active use like basketball, choose Ugreen USB C; if you need the highest possible audio fidelity specs and a compact dongle form factor for studio-quality listening, choose AVMAX USB C.
• Ugreen USB C: Strengths include its extended 5-foot braided nylon length and durable aluminum alloy housing designed to withstand frequent plugging in vehicles; trade-off is it lacks the ultra-high-resolution 32-bit/384kHz audio processing of the competitor. Best for drivers and travelers who prioritize cable longevity and reach.
• AVMAX USB C: Strengths lie in its advanced DAC chip supporting up to 32-bit/384kHz Hi-Res audio and a sleek, compact design that fits easily into tight spaces; trade-off is the shorter cable length and less emphasis on heavy-duty braiding compared to the Ugreen model. Best for audiophiles and users who value sound precision over extreme durability.
The Ugreen USB C adapter is built for people who live their lives on the move, particularly those who spend significant time behind the wheel or engaging in active scenarios like playing basketball where equipment needs to stay secure and connected without tangling. The standout feature here is the physical construction. It comes in a substantial 5-foot length, broken down as an extended 3.3ft plus 1.6ft section, which makes it incredibly versatile for reaching from a car dashboard to a passenger seat or even managing cables in a home theater setup without running out of slack. This isn't just about convenience; it's about usability. In a vehicle, having extra length means you aren't tethered to a single spot near the charging port, allowing for better ergonomics while driving or adjusting your position during a workout session.
Durability is clearly the primary engineering goal for this unit. The manufacturer has specified a braided nylon exterior paired with a premium aluminum alloy case. This combination serves two distinct purposes: the nylon provides strain relief that prevents the cable from snapping at the connection points—a common failure point in cheaper adapters—while the aluminum helps dissipate heat generated during the 60W Power Delivery (PD) charging process. If you are someone who frequently plugs and unplugs devices, perhaps between a phone and a car stereo or a gaming console like the Switch 2, this reinforced build suggests a product designed to survive years of rough handling rather than just a few months of gentle use.
This product is ideal for anyone prioritizing the "listen and charge" experience without worrying about battery anxiety. It supports PD 60W fast charging via the USB-C interface and QC 18W via the USB-A port, ensuring that whether you are using an iPhone 17 Pro Max, a Galaxy S25 Ultra, or a MacBook Air, the power delivery remains stable. However, it might not be the right choice for critical listening environments where the absolute highest digital-to-analog conversion rates are required, as it tops out at 48KHz/16bit. If your daily routine involves a lot of driving, gym sessions, or general travel where a thick, durable, long cable is more valuable than microscopic audio tweaks, this is the tool for you.

On the other side of the aisle, the AVMAX USB C adapter appeals directly to the user who treats audio quality as the non-negotiable centerpiece of their device ecosystem. While it shares the core functionality of simultaneous charging and listening, its defining characteristic is the specification of its internal smart DAC chip. This component supports up to 32-bit/384kHz high-resolution audio. For context, this is significantly higher than the standard CD quality or the 48KHz/16bit limit found in many entry-level adapters. If you are an enthusiast who listens to lossless music files, uses high-end headphones, or simply wants the cleanest possible signal path from your phone to your earbuds, the AVMAX offers a technical edge that the Ugreen model does not match on paper.
The design philosophy here leans towards compactness and modern aesthetics. With dimensions of roughly 2.56 x 0.79 x 0.39 inches, it presents as a sleek dongle rather than a heavy-duty cable assembly. It features a gold-gray finish and utilizes a braided + aluminum hybrid material, though the focus seems to be on the internal electronics rather than the external tensile strength of a long cord. This makes it perfect for users who carry multiple devices, such as an iPad Pro, a Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, or a Samsung Tablet S9, and need a solution that doesn't add bulk to a pocket or bag. It also includes a 12-month warranty, signaling a commitment to quality assurance that gives buyers peace of mind regarding the electronic components inside.
However, this product is best suited for users who do not require extreme cable lengths or who primarily use it in static environments. Because the focus is on the 32-bit/384kHz capability, the physical cable length is likely shorter and less emphasized than the Ugreen option. It is excellent for watching videos, making calls, or gaming on a tablet where the device sits on a lap or desk, but it may feel less robust for active sports like basketball where a longer, tangle-resistant line is preferred. If your priority is hearing every nuance in your favorite track and you have a compatible device capable of outputting that level of detail, the AVMAX is the logical hardware partner.
• Best for Battery Life & Active Use → Ugreen USB C. Its 5-foot length and reinforced braiding make it ideal for dynamic activities like basketball or long commutes where you need to move freely without pulling the device out of the port.
• Best for Audio Fidelity Specs → AVMAX USB C. With support for 32-bit/384kHz, it offers the highest potential resolution for listeners who prioritize sound clarity and depth over physical durability.
• Best for Vehicle Installations → Ugreen USB C. The extended 3.3ft+1.6ft design accommodates various wiring layouts in most cars, whereas the AVMAX dongle is better suited for portable, short-distance connections.
• Best for Compact Portability → AVMAX USB C. Its smaller footprint and lighter weight make it easier to slip into a small pocket or pouch alongside other accessories.
• Best for Heat Dissipation → Ugreen USB C. The aluminum alloy casing is explicitly noted for greater heat dissipation, a crucial factor when pushing 60W of power through a long cable run.
• Best for Warranty Coverage → AVMAX USB C. It comes with a specific 12-month quality assurance promise, offering a clear replacement policy if issues arise.
• Best for Heavy-Duty Durability → Ugreen USB C. The "unbreakable" solid construction and strain relief design are tailored for frequent plug-and-unplug cycles in harsh environments.
• Best for Multi-Device Flexibility → Both, but Ugreen edges ahead for long-reach setups while AVMAX excels in high-res digital transmission across supported phones and tablets.
In my opinion, I would buy the Ugreen USB C for my personal use, especially given its suitability for active lifestyles like basketball. While the AVMAX offers impressive audio specs, the real-world utility of a 5-foot, braided, heat-dissipating cable outweighs the theoretical benefits of higher bitrates for most people. The ability to connect to a car stereo or speaker system while charging at 60W without worrying about the cable snapping or overheating makes it the more reliable companion for daily life. The Ugreen model feels like a tool built to last, whereas the AVMAX feels like a specialized accessory for the audiophile. For the average buyer looking for a balance of function, durability, and performance, the Ugreen USB C is the smarter investment.
Yes, both products list compatibility with the latest devices, including iPhone 17 series (Pro Max, Pro, Plus, Air), Galaxy S25/S26 series, and Pixel 10 models, ensuring they work with current hardware.
No, neither product supports data transmission. They are designed strictly for audio output and power delivery, so you cannot transfer files between devices using these cables.
Both utilize high-performance DAC chips to reduce current noise and distortion. However, the Ugreen model's larger aluminum housing and longer cable design may offer slightly better thermal management and signal stability in a moving vehicle environment.
The AVMAX USB C explicitly includes a 12-month quality assurance period with a replacement commitment, whereas the Ugreen documentation focuses on the durability of materials like braided nylon and aluminum rather than specifying a warranty term in the provided sheet.
