FAQ Regarding Online Application Portal for Foreign Degrees Equivalence

Rules for Equivalence of Foreign Degree
Before starting you are requested to read the Rules for Equivalence of Foreign Degree that you can download from here.
Attachments (Please prepare your documents in pdf format according to the following serial):
1. Pay order of Taka 2,500/- (Two Thousand & Five Hundred) for each degree/certificate in favour of "University Grants Commission of Bangladesh".
2. Passport size photograph.
3. Academic Certificates and transcripts/marksheets according to latest degree (in the case of language other than English translated documents into English must be attested by the respective Diplomatic Office or Foreign Ministry of Bangladesh or Authorized Notary Public).
4. Passport (all used pages to prove valid visa during study period).
5. Offer letter/Enrolment letter/Student registration document/document regarding on campus study (in order to prove the admission of the admitted foreign institute).
6. For Govt. official, Govt. Order to pursue higher studies abroad (if any).
7. Document in support of total credit/subjects, total credit-hours & courses waived/transferred (if any).
8. Detailed syllabus/module mentioning all the subjects/contents for the foreign degrees/certificates earned.
9. Applicant must submit project paper/thesis/dissertation related to degree program. (if any).
N.B.:
a) The application will be cancelled if incomplete or wrong information is provided.
b) Law, Medical and Nursing degrees are not equivalent by UGC.
c)Applicant must bring all the original documents including passport which will be verified by the dealing officer.
d)Applicant must take an appointment before visit though portal after registration.
e)Any queries, please contact with Deputy Director (Scholarship)/Senior Assistant Director.
(Application must be filled up by computer typing in English and submitted with necessary documents. Incomplete application will be rejected automatically)
Step-1: Registration, Login, Password recovary
From the menu you can get the link for Login & Registration
Registration page: You need to fill up all the follwing information:
Name
Email
Mobile no
NID / Passport no.
After submitting the information you will get the email verificaiton link, that you have to click to verify your email.
Login page: you need to enter email and password
Forgot Password page : You need to enter email to get the password in the registerted Email
Step-2: Appointment Schedule Request
For the verificaton of your documents you need to visit UGC with all the main certificates, transcripts, Passport, GO(for govt. employee), payorder.
To take the appointment in the menu there is a link for appointment page.
There you need to select date and time.
After you visit at UGC, authorized person will verify your documents and then you can submit the applicaiton form in the portal after you login.
Step-3: Application Form submission
After you login you will get total 4 steps in the portal:
Step-1: you personal informations & Payment Information
Step-2: Details of Degree Earned from Foreign University/Institute
Step-3: Details of Degrees/certificates earned before this degree

Then you will get the final submission button. After final submission you will not be able to change any information.
Acknowledgement or Certificate Download
After your submission authorized person in UGC will check all your information and documents you uploaded then your acknowledgement letter will be issued and you will be notified by email, after that you can download the Acknowledgement letter.
When the UGC will complete its all process you will be notified to download equivalance Certificate.
