Telangana Chaitanya Sravanthi, TCS-Kuwait celebrated their Telugu new year (Shubha Kruth naama) Ugadi festival on 1st April 2022, in the Dhoom Auditorium Hall, Abu Halifa, Block 1, Kuwait with a large presence of its members and their families along with the invited guests.

The Ugadi celebrations began with the lighting of the Bhadradeepam by the President Mr. K. Laxma Reddy and Senior member Mrs. & Dr. P. Venkateshwar Rao, executive members Mrs. & Dr. Indeevar, Mrs. & Mr. Garlapati Ashok and Guest Mrs Shyamala Ravikumar followed by Telangana state song with standing ovation in the TCS family. Saanvitha sung a prayer song of Lord Ganesha at the commencement of the program.

Mrs. Srivani Sripada Rao compered the program for the Ugadi celebrations. Panchanga Shravanam was done by Mr. Krishna Rao garu ushering good on this auspicious occasion of Shubha Kruth naama Telugu New Year.

TCS President Mr. Laxma Reddy, addressed the gathering. Mr. Reddy informed that TCS Association is gathering after 2 years gap due to Covid-19 restrictions and everyone in TCS family was exited to beginning of association activities. The pandemic had affected many families. All participants mourned for a minute in tribute to the deceased. He expressed gratitude to TCS members for their generous contribution for Covid relief fund donated to our motherland. Association transferred Rupees 1 lack each to Telangana Govt. fund and Central Govt. relief fund. Grocery was distributed to needy people like maidservants, drivers etc. under sponsorship of Malabar Gold Jewelers.

The president recalled TCS association formed 2015-16, based on four principles: Telangana soyi, santhosham, samkruthi and shikshana. He encouraged all the members to participate and take active roles in the association activities and to support Telugu community and Indian citizens by close networking.

The president urged the parents to inspire children for their continuous learning of various extra circular activities besides academics, for overall personality development. Also, requested to make use Association's platform and stage to perform and exhibit their fine arts and skills.

Traditional ugadi pacchadi which is the unique savory of New Year, prepared by Jayalatha Srisailam, was served to all in the hall. Subsequently, children performed the following activities: Ugadi festival speech by Saanvitha Reddy, marvelous classical dances Swagatam Krishna by Avyuktha Chandrasekhar & Ganesha Stuti by Manasvini Kyatham, cine dance Seeti maar by Tanuj Reddy, followed by energetic performances for films songs Buttabomma by Karthika Reddy, saami saami by Mishita Godishala and folk dance Punnapu Vennela by Avyuktha.

Followed by prizes were distributed to winners and Mementos to children for showcasing their elegant performance of Indian culture. Followed by Ugadi dinner, along with special/delicious dish pulihora rice prepared by Swapna Pawan family, was served.

General Secretary Mr. Kiran Kumar gave vote of thanks. Mr. Kiran applauded all participants and attendees for their involvement and energy throughout the program. He expressed gratitude for Krishna Rao garu for his panchanga shrvanam and delicious ugadi pacchadi prepared by Jayalatha Srisailam garu, mouth watering pulihora by Swapna Pavan Reddy garu. He acknowledged photography captured by member Mr. Kyatam Raju and Cultural secretary Mr. Nukala Suresh. He extended TCS gratitude for Mr. Ravi Kumar and Mr. Srinivas garu for entertaining attendees on the festive occasion. He acknowledged with thanks to Malabar Gold Jewelers for their compliments and Ugadi sweets. He thanked Dhoom auditorium management.
