History and Structure
Received charge in January 2014. Approximately 15 members from Brown Media, Hargrett, Russell, DLG, MAGIL, and Library Systems. Our charge is to "promote the long term integrity of and access to [our] locally-held digital collections." We learn from each other, share the work of research and testing, and collaborate on joint infrastructure and policy. DCWG is an advisory group; official policy needs to be approved by Technology Oversight Group (TOG).
Group was on hiatus May 2016-March 2017. Now the full DCWG meets quarterly to communicate progress and plan work. The majority of the work is done by subgroups.
