Health Promotion Internships

The Utah County Health Department offers internship programs in a variety of areas of health promotion that provide real world public health experience.

Wondering if a UCHD Internship is right for you?

UCHD Internships:

  • Meet the criteria for public/community health college credit at UVU, BYU and BYU-I
  • Are uncompensated
  • Require a minimum of 125 hours
  • Provide a supervisor who is a professional with a degree in public/community health who:
      • Has CHES or MCHES certification
      • Has a minimum of 6-months post-college experience
  • Are offered three times per year
      • Winter (January-April)
      • Spring/Summer (May-August)
      • Fall (September-December)
  • Happen between the weekday hours of 8 AM -5 PM, with evening/weekends often required
  • Prefer prior completion of major's Program Planning class
  • Are based out of Provo, Utah
