UC4SD provides a platform for residents of San Jose, Santa Clara, Cupertino, and Sunnyvale to work together to ensure our communities remain vibrant through thoughtful long-term planning and investment that gives a voice to residents.
Stevens Creek Urban Village - high rise buildings coming to the West Valley, a plan to serve developers' needs at your expense. Cupertino just sent a letter expressing concerns on August 8. Santa Clara responded as well. And an opinion letter was just written by Cupertino and Santa Clara officials on Aug 6th, 2017.
- The Santa Clara City Council to held a study session to discuss the impacts of San Jose's urban village plans on surrounding communities (September 12th agenda, Item 6A). See Santa Clara page for more.
- On August 8, 2017, the San Jose City Council approved THREE contiguous urban village plans, all at the same time - Stevens Creek Blvd, Santana Row, and Winchester Urban Village plans, despite not addressing concerns from surrounding communities and residents. All along Stevens Creek Blvd high-rise buildings of up to 150 feet tall (approx 15-stories) await approval by the San Jose City Council. San Jose Urban Village developments and Signature Projects will impact everyone living in neighborhoods near them, including residents in West San Jose, Santa Clara, Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Saratoga, and Campbell.
