Welcome to SCL!
Research overview
The Sustainable Catalysis Lab (SCL) at the University of Arkansas Fayetteville develops tunable thermo- and electro-catalytic systems to drive sustainable chemical transformations, including the catalytic conversion of waste streams (e.g., plastics, biomass) to mitigate environmental impact while pursuing economically viable pathways. By designing catalysts with tailored properties and utilizing advanced characterization techniques, we strive to enable novel reactions and advance the field of renewable and sustainable chemical production—ultimately reducing reliance on fossil fuels. In addition, we are committed to mentoring future leaders in catalysis who will contribute to the development of innovative, sustainable technologies for the chemical industry.
