Have you ever found an interesting looking rock outside and wondered where it came from? Or looked at a rock formation and would like to know just how that happened? Then you were thinking like a geologist!
The U3A Knysna geology interest group provides an informal forum for those who are interested in the Earth sciences and our great outdoors. We promote member interaction through talks in the basics of geology and hands-on learning opportunities with presentations, day field trips and mini projects.
Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month, and all are invited to attend – no previous experience is necessary, just a desire to learn more about the amazing world around us and how it was formed.
There are many interesting talks and outings planned for the 2025 season – contact the course convenor below to find out more.
