1.  Post-Graduation in Geography from Delhi School of  Economics, University of Delhi – 1990-91

2.  M.Phil. from University of Delhi on “Ecological and Socio-Economic Impact of Sardar Sarovar Project” - 1994

3.  Ph.D. from North Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Meghalaya on “Ecology, Conflict and Adaptation of the Jarawa in Andaman Islands” -  2009.

Experiences -

1. Served for about 7 years at A & N Regional Centre of Anthropological Survey of India, Port-Blair between 1997-2004. Presently posted at Kolkata.

2. Served as a member of the Expert Committee on the Jarawa, Government of India (2001-2003), constituted under the direction of Hon’ble High Court, Kolkata.

3. Managing Editor for the Journal of Anthropological Survey of India since 2014.

4. Has delivered lectures of Anthropological Ecology and Methods to the students of several Universities and in the Training programmes of the Anthropological Survey of India.
