Kidz Hideout - Befriending and Homework Support Programme is a platform where children realise wholesome values, get connected with one another and the society, and contribute towards a sustainable community.
Nature of the initiative, purpose
This programme is to accompany a group of after school P5 students during their June School Holiday 🤗
Some students are coming from complex families and in need of role-models, we hope to enhance the social-emotional wellbeing and social skills through our befriending programme.
Volunteer's role/attendee's expectation
Planning team and execute it during the session.
Expected 4 -6 discussion from May - June (depend)

Days: Every Friday (selected)
Time: 2pm to 5pm
Enhance the culture of being eco-friendly and how to do so
Held on 3rd Sunday of every month, 9am to 1230pm @ Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre
Pre-pandemic: 39 Eco-Points
Post-pandemic: 17 Eco-Points (HYC is the newest Eco-Point that was set up on Jan 2022!)
Fun fact: Eco-Point @ HYC is the only Eco-Point managed by Tzu-Ching!

Promote Eco-awareness mindset and reduce wastages within our society
Educate the public on our Tzu Chi’s 5Rs (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle)
Be a role model to the younger ones (even students like us can have an impact in the community as well!
Volunteer's role/attendee's expectation
To engage small talks with the public.
Spread their knowledge on being eco-friendly.
Able to explain 5Rs clearly and guide the public on categorizing their recyclables.
Take care of our neighbourhood through plogging.
