Non-equilibrium Dynamics and Quantum Information @ Virginia Tech

We are a theory group focusing on dynamical behaviors of quantum systems.

Experimental progresses in the past two decades have made it possible to coherently evolve quantum states out of equilibrium and make measurements. Our research apply the ideas of statistical mechanics to understand the emergent phenomena, such as the generation of quantum chaos, quantum entanglement, and criticality in these many-body quantum systems. We are also interested in their implications to quantum computing and quantum simulation.

Our group has openings graduate students.
