pohrebniakov ("we," "us," or "our") operates the txtpad mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our app and the choices you have associated with that data.
1. Information Collection and Use
txtpad is designed to be a private, local utility for creating and editing text files.
We do not collect any personally identifiable information (such as name, email address, or phone number) directly through the app.
The app requires access to your device's storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) to allow you to create, open, and save .txt files.
Privacy of Files: All files created or edited within txtpad are stored locally on your device. We do not upload, scan, or have access to your personal files or their content.
Internet Access: Used solely to load advertisements.
Storage Access: Used solely to manage your text files.
To keep the app free, we display advertisements using Google AdMob.
Because we value the safety of all users, including children, we have implemented strict protections:
Child-Directed Treatment: The app is configured to signal to Google that the ad request should be treated as child-directed (setTagForChildDirectedTreatment(true)).
Content Rating: We have restricted advertisements to a maximum content rating of G (General Audience).
Non-Personalized Ads: We do not serve personalized (interest-based) ads to users identified as under the age of consent.
Data Collection by AdMob: AdMob may collect certain non-identifiable information (such as device type, session information, and approximate location) to serve ads and prevent fraud. For more info, visit Google’s Privacy & Terms.
Our application uses the Google Play Billing Library to verify and restore previously purchased content or features. While we do not currently offer new in-app purchases, this service is used to ensure users retain access to their existing digital goods. This process involves sharing certain non-sensitive information (such as purchase tokens and device identifiers) with Google to confirm your transaction history. All such data is handled in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.
We have explicitly disabled the following services to ensure maximum privacy:
Firebase Analytics
Firebase Crashlytics
Google Analytics
AD_ID collection
We do not track your usage behavior or app performance data on our servers
Our app is intended for all audiences. We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. All advertising is restricted to child-safe content and follows the "Under Age of Consent" protocols.
The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, all file data remains on your physical device, and its security is subject to your device's own safety protocols.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
