SCWA - Brother in Law Welding.MOVSouth Coast Welding Academy, R&N Manufacturing and AlumaReel will be teaming up to put on this 2 Person Team Event!
Thank you South Coast Welding Academy for making and sharing this short video (47 sec) to introduce us to Brother in Law Welding!
AlumaReel and South Coast will be set up the day of the event for teams and Schools to try their hand at this team event!
Material:
8” Std pipe .322” wall
Team Event Information:
Two Man team working at same time on brother in law welding.
Open root pipe, SMAW 6010 root pass and 7018 hot / fill passes and cap.
Schools will need to share gas welders (team up with another school) so the teams can run two welders at the same time on pipe.
If you do not have a gas powered welder please let us know we can provide one for you at the event!
Welders will be working along side pipe line professionals for this event. These professionals will be educating and coaching the young welders in the ways of Brother in Law pipeline welding.
Teams will be placed by the judges and professionals working with teams during the event!
Prizes and awards will be awarded to the placing teams.
Schools may register more than one team. Only schools who resister will be eligible for placing and awards in this Team Event!
