Shackled

Coming in from the East Coast of the United States is Shackled who is based out of Howel, New Jersey. Originating back in 2018 Shackled released their three-song Demo as well as a two-song Summer Promo. A year later in 2019, they released their five-song EP One Way Out which brought more of a thrash metal element to Shackled's sound. In 2020 to an untrained eye it would appear Shackled had not released anything but they had a song titled Overcome on the very first One Scene Unity compilation album. Overcome is personally one of my favorite tracks from Shackled, the compilation albums are always worth a listen especially to find some extra songs. One Scene Unity is a compilation album that is released every year by From Within Records which Shackled is signed. Most recently Shackled released their album Doubt Surrounds All which contains eight high-energy songs which excellently deliver Shackled's hard-driving hits and play-back-to- back quite seamlessly. The final song on the album (Mind's Eye) was taken from the band's demo and is one of the songs that introduced me to hardcore and is without a doubt of my favorite hardcore songs to date.
